Bone Inlay

Monday, 24 February 2014

I happened to see one of the most beautiful forms of art on my last trip to design/source. Bone Inlay is an art that was introduced to India in the sixteenth-century by a Mughal princess from North Africa. Basically, the design is intricately hand-cut, and inlaid with camel bone. The best part is that no two pieces are the same. Here's a glimpse of how its made.

if you are looking for a bone inlay chest or coffee table or a mirror- you know whom to message. That's right- stop by at Room Therapy
