Fashion Therapy

Thursday, 7 May 2015

I think this is designer week for me, 2 posts concentrating on two of the popular designers of the country from our very own Hyderabad. I had shared some pictures of the studio I had designed for Anushree a while ago; however a post is still pending and Archana had a photoshoot at the store a few weeks ago. I might be a bit partial but these two are talented or what! Definitely on my favorite designers list. Check out these pictures from the shoot at Room Therapy. While you ogle at the clothes, notice how gorgeously the decor goes with the concept.

And for those who have questioned my intentions of speaking my mind on fashion- can't a girl love clothes and interiors?

the store is where my heart is these days... I am constantly at the store and feel like giving some of the areas a makeover every now and then. When we launched the store, we had some fun tin clocks up on our feature wall. After a few weeks- I made some changes to get a whole new look. I wanted to write this post to show you guys how you can create you're very own piece of art without being much of an artist.

Classic Makeover

Wednesday, 7 January 2015

New Year brings new joy and cheer. And I'm sure you guys will figure that my resolution is to definitely be back on the blog. On that very note, I am reminiscing an old makeover we did last year. I would say we took less than 30 minutes to transform the whole place. We did spend a bunch of money though (guilty there). But, hey - you cant have it allllll. Can you?

This is a passage way in a classical home. the client wanted to add some colour and bring some life into this space. This is an area that leads to three bedrooms and the home theatre which means, the family see’s it day in and day out.

Keeping in mind that the rest of the house is still classical we added elements that could enhance the space. The client had an existing mirror from Spain which has beautiful hand work in multiple colors. Pink, blue. Grey and yellow. We matched the mirror with a pink chest and added accessories in the other colours. However, we let the mirror ,be the focus and added additional elements which didn't overshadow the TWO MAIN pieces.

Here's a small project I had worked on a while ago. A little makeover to a boring terrace. Small additions always make a big difference.

Room Therapy- THE STOR(e)Y

Sunday, 20 July 2014

I have been slacking with blogging- you won't believe how much. I promise I have a very very valid excuse. You guys won't believe but I do have at least 20 posts that I need to share. Meanwhile here's what I have been up to for the last one and a half years. My dream project, the home decor store that I have put together with all my heart and soul - which is now complete and opened on the 13th of July. For those of you in Hyderabad, please do come. Details at the bottom of this post. In the next few posts, I will be walking you through the process of the construction, the interiors and much more. Stay tuned and talk to me. I want to hear all about what you guys think.

With the attempt to help everybody have a beautiful home I started Room Therapy in a small room called the studio at home and after two long years of hard work, sweat and whatever else it takes I now have a store that was my dream but also a space which is not only an inspiration but a place to just come an experience and feel good. In my next few posts I will be breaking up the store into various elements and walk you through the process of building it. For now- lets look at the whole picture.

I promise I will be back with more this time. Have a great week my lovelies. For those of you in Hyderabad the store is on:

Road No 45, Jubilee Hills
Call us on 9666684066 or 040-64442200 for details and directions.

Room Therapy

Saturday, 24 May 2014

It's been a long year for me. Ever since I started working on this project called "Room Therapy"- life has become a life changing experience. (OK, maybe I am being a bit too dramatic!)

I had started the blog with the intention to understand- what people like in there homes. After a lot of R&D (yeah! i feel really cool to use R&D) we are almost ready to launch our online store and really close to opening our first store here in Hyderabad. For all my lovelies everywhere else - stop by at the website and drop me a line if you have any questions.

I am super kicked- I'm hoping you're equally thrilled too. Here's a tiny peak into the genre we cater to.

Thursday, 31 October 2013

Who said that Diwali lights needs to be earthen diyas or silver lamps?!?!

what I used?
glass jars, satin ribbons, lace, twine, fabric glue and fevicol

{light note: will help to cut lace with scissors :P}

We live in the 21st century and should have the option of enjoying the festival of lights in any which way right?

Our first pretty lighting idea for the new year.

How I made these?
