I believe I can fly!

Saturday, 7 March 2015

the store is where my heart is these days... I am constantly at the store and feel like giving some of the areas a makeover every now and then. When we launched the store, we had some fun tin clocks up on our feature wall. After a few weeks- I made some changes to get a whole new look. I wanted to write this post to show you guys how you can create you're very own piece of art without being much of an artist.

plates on the wall

Saturday, 18 January 2014

Plates! One would never associate them with anything else other than food and eating out of- however, these guys have been popular from time to time on walls as wall decor. Here are few of the walls in my home and my personal collection.

Love Letters (no, like a, B, c...not mail) ! Always such a nice way to personalize a house.

.....and these ones- straight out of a thrift store. I must have got them for under 100Rs each (Hush! I have the neighbours thinking its vintage and worth $$$$)

as for all you lovelies wondering how to hang a plate, date back to my previous post  how to hang a plate? Simple eh?! Also, remember this?

Independence Day

Sunday, 11 August 2013

With Indian Independence day round the corner, I wanted to do a special on the same. Catalina Estrada, Colombian illustrator based in Barcelona has to be credited for these spectacular patterns that you will see below. Flora and fauna are Catalina’s inspiration. Her clientle includes Paul Smith, Coca-Cola, Microsoft, Camper, Nike, Levis, Smart / Mercedes Benz, Paulo Coelho, Unicef, the municipalities of Barcelona and London, and the Government of India.

The government of India used her designs in the incredibleindia campaign.

What caught my attention more was how these patterns made beautiful wall papers

Flea Finds

Thursday, 18 July 2013

A few days ago somebody asked me where certain things around the house were and my answer was quiet constant - flea market, flea market, flea..............So, I went around my house and put together all the things I have picked up from flea markets. They include wall arts, antiques, paintings, tiles, glasses, random things that I don't have names for. All I know is they all have a story- some longer than mine.

Do not forget to leave your comments for me.
