Graffiti

Sunday, 5 May 2013

...........................is  another interesting feature on some of the streets of Amsterdam.Graffiti??? You ask me! How is this relevant to decor?!? I don't blame you. Often, Graffiti is associated with crazy, eccentric people painting their hearts out. Well, for the most part it is that, but honestly it is a lot of fun. I had done some graffiti in my bathroom a long time ago and my mom was pretty upset, and I had to wash it down with turpentine. Moms!! I should refrain from saying anything further with mother's day around the corner! If only I had saved a picture of it to share now. Anyways, here's some serious graffiti  on the exterior facades followed by some great rooms with walls of the same.

I was lucky to watch this artist at work.

And here's how you van use them in your space

Not too shabby after all right? I suggest you put some tarp down, grab some spray paint and get on to some Graffitti Therapy!
The first six pictures are by moi and the inspired rooms are from houzz.
You can find more about these rooms herehere, here and here
Like my ideas, have some better ones?
Do suggest and do leave your comments for moi.

Street Inspirations

Saturday, 4 May 2013

I was away for a week to a far far land from home. Well, not thaaat far - I went to Amsterdam for the first time and I have to say, WHAT a great city. No! I am not talking about the infamous Red Light area or the famous coffee shops. I am infact amazed with the art, architecture, food, antique markets, culture...more art, design, flea markets.....and I can go on. There are a couple of things I want to share with all of you, however this is what is on top of my mind as fight through jet lag. The streets look gorgeous, not because there is some magical potion- just some easy, simple planters. I wanted to share these with you guys, because I think you and me can totally use these ideas for a better outdoor space. Planter Therapy it is!

I absolutely love these two, don't be surprised if I add these milk can planters to my garden

This is an interesting one, the ducts have been converted into planters and I don't know if the picture does justice, but it does look pretty good in person

that's all!
